Shin is renowned for his colorful and playful depictions of unique people in various environments, celebrating diversity and day-to-day life. Even his methods are unusual, as the artist describes the medium of his works as a “technical mixture” which involves silicone-based paint and a syringe.
The artist pays particular interest to the lives of human beings. Inspired by his stay in France, Shin transfers his interactions with different people, as well as their interactions with each other, in various locations throughout the city into colorful two-dimensional form--resulting in a portrayal of vivid emotions. Shin chooses to utilizes a curious, fascinated child’s perspective of the city people.
