Renowned for his colorful and playful depictions of unique people in various environments, Shin Heung Woo celebrates diversity and day-to-day life. His methods are unusual, described by the artist as a “technical mixture,” which involves silicone-based paint and a syringe.
Inspired by his time living in Paris, Shin transfers his interactions with different people, as well as their interactions with each other, in various locations throughout the city into colorful two-dimensional form--resulting in a portrayal of vivid emotions. Shin chooses to utilizes a curious, fascinated child’s perspective of the city people.
