POINT oF ENTRY
CXU Gallery invites artists to submit work for Point of Entry, a contemporary group exhibition exploring the varied perspectives and practices shaping contemporary art.
Through CXU Gallery’s ongoing Open Call Series, selected artists will have the opportunity to present their work in the gallery alongside a diverse group of practitioners at different stages of their careers. Point of Entry welcomes artists working across disciplines, whose practices offer distinctive approaches and ways of engaging with the contemporary.
Submission deadline: December 30, 2026.
Opening reception: February 20, 2027.
On view: February 20 - March 6, 2027.

ABOUT
The Open Call Series is a year-round opportunity for artists, offering inclusion in select exhibitions at our Fullerton gallery. The series is part of CXU’s ongoing effort to engage with a broad range of contemporary practices while creating meaningful opportunities for artists.
Artists working in any medium or discipline are encouraged to apply. We seek work that is distinctive in its perspective, and intentional in its approach.
Submissions are reviewed by the CXU curatorial team on a rolling basis. All applications submitted by December 30, 2026, will be considered for Point of Entry.
Although submission does not guarantee selection, each application becomes part of CXU Gallery’s ongoing review process and may be considered for future exhibitions and programming beyond the current call.

CXU Gallery welcomes submissions from both emerging and established artists working across all disciplines. Artists age 18 and older are eligible to apply, regardless of their career stage.
International Submissions are permitted.
Shipping, delivery, return arrangements, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the artist.

Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to apply.
No dimensional restrictions apply; however, each individual artwork must not exceed 50 lbs.
Submitted pieces must be installation ready. Framing is not required for Point of Entry.
For Framed works: Glass glazing is not permitted.

The Open Call Series application fee helps support CXU Gallery’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful exhibition opportunities for all artists.
Point of Entry application fee: $30

CXU Gallery’s curatorial team thoughtfully reviews each application submitted to the Open Call Series on a rolling basis. Works submitted during the current series will be considered for inclusion in Point of Entry, as well as future Open Call Series exhibitions.

Selected artists for Point of Entry will receive direct contact from CXU Gallery by mid January, 2027.
Unselected applicants will be considered for future Open Call Series exhibitions.
