Rather than approaching nature as image or scenery, Lim considers it as a living materials that carries traces of time and transformation. Working with oil on wood panel and linen alongside natural bark, exposed wood grain, and gold leaf, she builds layered surfaces where processes of erosion, growth, and renewal become physically present.
In ‘Resonate Matter’, material becomes both subject and languages. Moving between painting and sculptural installation, Lim invites views to encounter nature through touch, temporality, and embodied perception, creating a space where memory, material, and physical experience continually intersect.
