CXU Gallery invites artists to submit work for Point of Entry, a contemporary group exhibition. Selected artists will be featured through CXU Gallery’s ongoing Open Call Series, which provides a platform for emerging and established artists working across disciplines.
On view: February 20 - March 6, 2027.
Opening reception: February 20, 2027.

CXU Gallery’s Open Call Series is a year-round opportunity for artists to be considered for select exhibitions at our Fullerton Gallery. Designed to engage artists at varying stages of their careers, the series supports CXU’s commitment to discovering and presenting diverse contemporary practices
We welcome submissions from emerging and established artists working across all disciplines. We are interested in work that conveys a clear artistic perspective and a compelling approach to contemporary practice.
Our curatorial team thoughtfully reviews every submission on a rolling basis. Applications received prior to December 30, 2026, will be considered for Point of Entry.
While selection is not guaranteed, submitted work remains in consideration as part of the gallery’s ongoing exhibition programming and may be reviewed for future opportunities beyond the current exhibition cycle.

Artists age 18 and older who are currently based in the United States are eligible to apply, regardless of their career stage. CXU Gallery welcomes submissions from both emerging and established artists working across all media and disciplines. Shipping, delivery, return arrangements, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the artist.

Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to apply.
There is no size limit imposed for Point of Entry. The total weight of each individual work must not exceed 50bs.
Submitted pieces must be installation ready. There no framing requirements for Point of Entry.

The Open Call Series application fee ($30) helps support a thoughtful review process and CXU Gallery’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful exhibition opportunities for all artists.

CXU Gallery’s curatorial team thoughtfully reviews each application submitted to the Open Call Series on a rolling basis. Works submitted during the current series will be considered for inclusion in Point of Entry, as well as future Open Call Series exhibitions.

Selected artists for Point of Entry will receive direct contact from CXU Gallery by mid January, 2027.
Unselected applicants will be considered for future Open Call Series exhibitions.
